Airbnb

Airbnb is an amazing site for finding cheap or unusual places to stay. People rent out their unused rooms or even whole apartments/houses and since they aren’t owned by large companies, they are often a lot less money than a hotel or holiday home. It’s also a really great way to meet locals from the area you’re staying in and they can often give you hints and tips you maybe wouldn’t have known otherwise. Personally I’ve never had a bad experience with Airbnb and couldn’t recommend it enough. If you sign up using the link below you will get £25 off your first booking.

Suntransfers

Suntransfers are a great company for booking airport transfers in advance. They have a varied fleet from low cost taxis to VIP vehicles and operate from over 500 airports around the world. They are very good for places where public transport might be limited or you’re going off the beaten track. I used this company whilst in Cyprus and they were the cheapest option and made the transfer very easy.

Skyscanner

Skyscanner is THE site for comparing and booking flights. All of the Travel Fairies use them for pretty much every flight we book. They compare flights from airlines and booking sites to get you the best deal on your airfare. You can tailor the flights to be very specific or they allow you to be really flexible. They even have a ‘search flights to everywhere’ function for if you’re undecided on a location which is also a great way to discover new places.
